The Power of the Arts award will be presented for the eighth time in a row this year. From April 15, 2024, we are once again looking forward to receiving many exciting applications from projects and initiatives in the arts and culture!
It was a great pleasure! To honor this year’s winners of The Power of the Arts, the award ceremony took place on March 21. at the Alte Münze in Berlin.
The 2023 recipients for The Power of the Arts have now been announced! Our independent jury has selected four outstanding projects from among 130 submissions for addressing and bringing visibility to to a peaceful co-existence and dialog.
The jury has met and selected four winning projects. We will reveal which projects will receive The Power of the Arts 2023 award in January.
Finally, we were able to award the winners of The Power of the Arts 2020 – 2022: On 30 March 2023, the award ceremony took place at the Bolle Festsäle in Berlin.

The Working Group for Cultural Sponsoring of the Association of Arts and Culture of the German Economy at the Federation of German Industries e.V. (Kulturkreis der deutschen Wirtschaft im BDI e.V.) honors the Philip Morris GmbH with the AKF Award for The Power of the Arts.
The Power of the Arts is one of the nominated projects for this year’s AKF-Award.
In past years, winning projects have always been honored at a festive awarding ceremony featuring figures from culture, politics, and civil society. Regrettably, we must refrain from holding a ceremonial presentation this year out of consideration for the protection against infections. Nevertheless, we are pleased to present this short summary of all winning projects.
The 10th winner of The Power of the Arts 2020 award, “Kein Schlussstrich! Ein bundesweites Theaterprojekt zum NSU-Komplex (No closure! A nationwide theatre project on the National Socialist Underground)” by Licht ins Dunkel e.V. who has not yet been published for project-internal reasons can finally be announced.
