The award ceremony
What a party! To honor this year’s The Power of the Arts winners, an award ceremony was held on 30 January 2020 at the F.A.Z. Atrium in Berlin
With lively moderating by Katty Salié and laudations from our jurors Samy Deluxe, Alexandra Georgieva, Kübra Gümüşay, and Lamya Kaddor, we celebrated this year’s awardees* with nearly 300 guests from culture, politics, and society.
Our congratulations to the winning projects, each of which is receiving 50,000 in prize money: Hajusom from Hamburg, Offener Kanal Magdeburg, the orchestra Bridges – Musik unites and DieTanzKompanie from Esslingen. We very much look forward to seeing the projects enabled by this prize in the coming year!
As a company domiciled in Germany with American roots, Philip Morris stands up and assumes responsibility for the society in which we live and work. The Power of the Arts Award was presented for the third time in 2019. It honors projects and initiatives that transform our society in the spirit of greater openness through art and culture.
