The award ceremony 2017

The prizes have been awarded! Some nine months after making an open call, we were able to honor the four winners for the first edition of our initiative yesterday evening.

After reviewing more than 150 applications and then traveling all over Germany to meet the 10 nominees, jury representatives Kübra Gümüsay and Ralf Fücks presented the 2017 The Power of the Arts Award to Banda Internationale (Dresden), *foundationClass (Berlin), label m (Saarbrücken), and Un-Label (Cologne). These four initiatives are outstanding models of unwavering and diverse social engagement in Germany. They promote open co-existence as well as multi-cultural exchange at eye level, and are committed to sustainable and especially innovative cultural inclusion for all.
